Helmets have sure saved my butt more than once! They are important! Even if you parents out there rode without one way back when, it’s the new standard, and could be life or death!
Road rash on you head may sound cool, but in practice, I can assure you it's not as fun asit sounds. My last crash I hit my head on the pavement above my left eye and cheek. The helmet I was wearing was broken in two places. The helmet did it's job, and a trip to the doctor woukd have cost more. Choose wisely foks...
The first on-bike practice with the Rolling Dutch MTB team took place on Sunday. We worked on how to ride safely with proper braking, turns, etc.
